🦬 Bryson the Brave Bison: Finding the Courage to Face the Storm

Bryson the Brave Bison Official Release!

This past week our children’s book Bryson the Brave Bison was released! Published by Zonderkidz (Harper Collins) and illustrated by NY Times Best Seller Richard Cowdrey. We had an absolute blast on a 5 day book tour event starting at the American Library Association meeting in Chicago. While there we gave a presentation on one of the stages and had a book signing where there was a long line for the book.

Over the next few days we spent time on local radio and TV appearances in Grand Rapids and filmed in front of the bison at Boulder Ridge Wild Animal Park. We also stopped at Schuler Books in Grand Rapids, Joseph-Beth in Cincinnati, and Paragraphs in my hometown Mt. Vernon. Lastly, we gave a presentation at the Mazza Museum in Findlay. An incredible place that hosts the world’s largest collection of original artwork by children’s book illustrators.

During the tour we had the honor of speaking to children, parents, and librarians about the importance of facing challenges head on. Even though Bryson isn’t the tallest, fastest, or most talented he realized that courage was a choice. He chose to face the storm and run into it while the rest of the herd wanted to run away in fear. By doing so he was a leader and led the way through the storm to greener pastures ahead.

Richard’s artwork is incredible, and he found a way to bring Bryson to life even better than we could have imagined.
